Real Estate Blogs
Realtors are increasingly discovering the world of blogs and are beginning to use them to convey information about themselves and the real estate market in their area.
A blog is really just a web page you can post content to even if you do not have any web development skills.
A Realtor can use a blog to post listings, real estate news, interest rates, and it can be branded and publicized to reflect a local real estate market to attract regular visitors. A blogger just needs to find something good to write about everyday, but can be short.
Blogs are easy to set up and there are tons of good free blogging software out there, like blogger.com which hosts this blog.
Now there is a brand new search-engine-friendly directory that lists real estate blogs and also blogs of industries affiliated with and servicing the real estate industry. The directory is brand new - in fact this blog is the first one to be listed. You can find it at http://www.real-estate-blogs.com.

Thanks, Doug, for creating such a search-engine-friendly directory that lists real estate blogs and blogs of industries affiliated with and servicing the real estate industry. The potential in promoting real estate services on the internet using blogs is enormous! Nice job!

The blog is getting more and more attention as a unique marketing tool for real estate agents. It is a great resource to stay in touch with your clients as well as boost your ranking on search engines.

Thanks for the great blog Doug. The new index should be a good tool, not only for consumers but agents as well. My next step is to set up a link. I’ve had several agents in my office set up blogs that have become a real resource for their clients.
Thank you,
Frank

I agree, this tool can be useful, using blogs to retrieve commercial information is way better than having to see all those linker websites.
I’d look forward to see this blog content, and would like to invite people to my new blog: http://bluewhiteproperties.blogspot.com/ and also to my website: http://www.bluewhiteproperties.com

I am not familiar with “blogs”, except that I have heard of them. I have just signed up for a blog in order to post this comment. Is it necessary to have time to post something every day for it to be of marketing benefit?
Thanks, Cyndi Polovina

Its funny because when I started blogging it took me a minute to figure it out. I think a lot of people are the same way. I cant tell you how many times I suggest a blog and all I get is the rolling eyes and I can almost read their mind, ” Blog, I dont have time for that”. Over and over again I see this. Once you get in the flow of blogging I find it quite easy. I think blogging is very important and every agent should have a blog. Great post Doug.
